The Ministry of Finance’s Treasury reports that in the first 11 months of 2024, the Georgian government gained GEL 586 million from fuel excise taxes, increasing by 11% year-on-year.
Revenue breakdown:
- Gasoline: GEL 307 million, increased by 11%
- Diesel: GEL 241 million, increased by 11%
- Other Petroleum Products: GEL 39 million, increased by 9%
Over the year, Georgia has imported 1.43 million tons of petroleum in form of various products, expenses amounting to USD 1.2 billion, a 13% increase.
