Georgia recently participated in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), one of the largest technology exhibitions in the world, for the first time. Held in Las Vegas, the Georgian delegation was led by Deputy Economy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili and emphasized the country’s growing startup ecosystem under the state’s ‘StartUP in Georgia’ initiative.
“This marks an important step in showcasing our vibrant startup ecosystem on a global platform,” Nadareishvili said during a panel discussion titled ‘Unlocking Opportunities: State Strategies to Support Startups and Enhance Investments’. He also highlighted the government’s goal to drive the economy through knowledge and innovation with the help of infrastructure development, financial access tools, and other technical assistance.
Georgian startups including Klipy, Elven Technologies, Widgera, Stori AI, and Baasi presented their technologies to foreign investors and leaders. Meanwhile, the delegation met Kinsey Fabrizio, President of the Consumer Technology Association, and John Kelley, Vice President of CES, to discuss future cooperation.
Nadareishvili also pointed out reforms making Georgia a regional hub for startups, saying, “Participating in global tech events like CES allows us to promote our ecosystem to international stakeholders.”
The Ministry called the debut a considerable achievement in internationally promoting the Georgian innovation industry.
