Georgia Reports 553 New Cases, 9 Deaths

Newborn Dies of Coronavirus in Tbilisi

553 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia, 9 people have died, and 1,021 people have recovered.

A total of 1,647,796 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia since February 2020, of which 1,623,453 have recovered and 16,739 have died.

The newly confirmed cases are divided by region as follows:

233 cases were confirmed in Tbilisi, Adjara – 20, Imereti – 84, Kvemo Kartli – 16, Shida Kartli – 40, Guria – 26, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 48, Kakheti – 46, Mtskheta-Mtianeti-14, Samtskhe-Javakheti -7, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 19.

2,857,215 people have been fully vaccinated so far.

On March 29, 698 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Georgia, 1036 patients recovered and 10 died.
