Georgia Reports 1970 New Cases, 29 Deaths

Newborn Dies of Coronavirus in Tbilisi

1970 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia, 29 people have died, and 7294 people have recovered.

A total of 1,631,900 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia since February 2020, of which 1,578,178 have recovered and 16,485 have died.

The newly confirmed cases are divided by region as follows:

853 cases were confirmed in Tbilisi, Adjara – 69, Imereti – 315, Kvemo Kartli – 83, Shida Kartli – 96, Guria – 117, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 166, Kakheti – 169, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 45, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 30, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 27.

2,829,114 people have been fully vaccinated so far.

On March 9, 865 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Georgia, 2820 patients recovered and 26 died.
