Georgia Reports 1716 New Cases, 16 Deaths

COVID: New Cases & Fatalities Up, President Urges Mandatory Vaccination for Risk Groups

1716 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Georgia, 16 people have died, and 1551 people have recovered.

A total of 1,637,691 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia since February 2020, of which 1,590,380 have recovered and 16,585 have died.

The newly confirmed cases are divided by region as follows:

672 cases were confirmed in Tbilisi, Adjara – 61, Imereti – 253, Kvemo Kartli – 56, Shida Kartli – 132, Guria – 110, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 150, Kakheti – 156, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 37, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 43, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 46.

2,834,936 people have been fully vaccinated so far.

On March 14, 466 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Georgia, 2944 patients recovered and 15 died.
