Georgia participates in The National Geographic Traveler Food Festival

Georgia participates in The National Geographic Traveler Food Festival

On July 20-21, Georgia participated in The National Geographic Traveler Food Festival.

“Approximately 15,000 people visited the event during both days. The Georgian stand was in such a good location that you would definitely get to the Georgian stand first and you would not be able to leave without being impressed,” said Maia Omiadze, head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration.

She also noted that Great Britain is one of the strategic tourist countries for Georgia and cooperation with The National Geographic in the British market will continue.

The Georgian National Tourism Administration stated, that Famous chefs Guram Bagdoshvili and Tekuna Gachechiladze introduced Georgian traditional and modern dishes to the participants of the festival. The representative of the National Wine Agency, Irakli Cholobargia, held a tasting of Georgian wine.

About 50 organizations and companies, about 60 chefs, speakers and authors from all over the world participated in The National Geographic Traveler Food Festival, which had thousands of visitors.
