The Minister of Health, Ekaterine Tikaradze, announced that Georgia may receive 1 million doses of Pfizer.
“We have active communication with Pfizer and other manufacturers. The final communication with Pfizer has been agreed on one million doses, however, at this stage, we are waiting for confirmation from them, how they will provide us and what schedule will be offered for the delivery of this million doses,” Tikaradze said.
The Minister notes that they received a reprimand from international partners due to the distinction of the vaccine.
“Nowhere in the world do people have a choice. They just go and get vaccinated and do not choose it by name and manufacturer, because it is believed that all vaccines are equally effective, they have less harm and more benefits,” said Tikaradze.
