Georgia joined the joint statement of more than 50 countries at the United Nations, which was dedicated to the 6th month anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
With this statement, the members of the United Nations once again condemn Russia’s aggression towards Ukraine and call on Moscow to respect the rules of the United Nations and the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The joint statement was presented to the media by the representative of Ukraine at the United Nations, Sergey Kislytsa, together with his colleagues.
“Today, we once again demand that Russia immediately cease all military actions against Ukraine, stop attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure, and completely withdraw its forces from the territory of Ukraine,” reads the statement, which was called an “anti-Russian statement” by the Russian government media and signed by the European Union countries, the US, South Korea and others.
