The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that as part of combating illegal migration, Georgian authorities expelled 97 foreign nationals in March.
As the statement declared, the Migration Department, working closely with other branches of the Ministry, expelled individuals who lacked legal grounds to stay in the country. “Some of the foreign nationals left Georgia voluntarily, while others were forcibly expelled as a result of measures carried out by the Migration Department,” the ministry reported. As the law dictates, these individuals have also been banned from re-entering Georgia.
Those removed included citizens of India, Belarus, China, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Bangladesh, the United States, Iraq, Iran, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Cameroon, Jordan, and Kyrgyzstan.
