Georgia’s national rugby team secured a decisive 22:7 victory against Tonga in their final November test match at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, concluding the 2024 season with an impressive finish.
No team scored during the first half, but Sandro Todua made a breakthrough in the second half, with Luka Matkava successfully converting it. Matkava also added three points with a penalty kick. Giorgi Schelidze made a debut for the national team during this match while the notable spectator was Shalva Gogoladze, Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Culture and Sports.
