The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) has reported that USA2Georgia violated Georgian consumer protection law through unethical commercial practices.
The investigation has shown that the company made false advertisements regarding its parcel repackaging service, claiming it could be activated anytime, when, in reality, it can only be commenced before the parcel arrives at the seller’s U.S. branch, per the company’s own trade policies.
In addition to inaccurate advertisements, USA2Georgia failed to carry out proper repackaging services for consumers who followed the policy within reason, resulting in higher transportation expenses.
The GCCA has mandated USA2Georgia take reasonable measures over the next month to correct the violations by compensating affected consumers and better aligning its trade policies with laws.
