The air traffic recovery dynamics in Georgia is rapidly returning to the most active and highest spine of 2019, the Civil Aviation Agency reported.
The data of July 2021 shows that 38 air companies of 27 countries are operating in the Georgian aviation market, implementing flights in 72 different directions.
The Agency reports that compared to the same period of 2019, 74% of flights were restored.
The Batumi International Airport shows the highest growth tendency with respect to the frequency of flights, as it currently serves 21% more flights (110-115 frequencies per week) than in July 2019, said the GCAA.
In addition, recently, German low-cost airline Eurowings, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, has entered the Georgian aviation market.
Eurowings will carry out Tbilisi – Dusseldorf – Tbilisi flights twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday.
