The Government of Georgia decided that from June 20, the obligation to wear face masks on public transport is to be abolished.
The use of face masks remains mandatory in medical facilities, while on buses, minibuses, and in other crowded places, it will be only recommended.
“Due to stabilization of the epidemic situation related to Coronavirus, from June 20, it will no longer be mandatory to use a mask in public transport. However, wearing a mask remains recommended for people who have chronic diseases. The use of masks will remain mandatory only in medical institutions,” said Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia.
