The Committee discussed and approved the Loan Agreement between Georgia and KfW. As the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze notes, the donors have allocated a loan of 554 ml EURO to support the energy reform in 2018-2021.
In 2021, both partners voted for the extension of the program for 2 more years, within which KfW will allocate extra 27 ml EURO to Georgia.
“On the basis of the Loan Agreement, KfW allocates extra 27 ml EURO as a supporting loan with the duration of 20 years, where 7 years are preferential and the interest rate is fixed as 0.9%,” the reporter noted.
