European Commission Vice-President Margaritis Schinas says the October 26 parliamentary elections held in Georgia do not meet the standards of a candidate country for EU membership.
“These elections do not meet the standards expected of a candidate country for EU membership. The authorities have exploited the unequal situation, their resources and the fear of war to present themselves as the only force that can avoid war,” he said.
Schinas claimed that the Georgian Dream has been spreading disinformation that Georgia is moving forward on its path to the EU.
