TBC continues to play an active role in the development of Georgian cinema. Through long-term partnerships and multi-layered support, the bank contributes to strengthening major film festivals as well as independent cinema initiatives, while promoting Georgian film both locally and internationally.
The Eliso Film Awards 2026 have officially announced an open call for submissions. Supported by TBC and organized by the Nato Vachnadze Foundation, the Eliso Awards will be held for the third time this year. The initiative aims to foster the growth of Georgian cinematography and support contemporary filmmakers.
According to the competition rules, the selection will consider feature-length fiction films and feature-length documentary films of Georgian production or co-production that were officially released in 2025.
Nominees and winners will be selected by a jury composed of Georgian and international filmmakers. Applications are open until February 20 and can be submitted via the following link.
Last year’s submissions were evaluated by an international jury including Elene Naveriani, Carlos Reygadas, Thomas Hakimi, Agnieszka Holland, Dito Tsintsadze, Salome Kikaleishvili, and Angeliki Papoulia. The Eliso Award for Best Film was presented to Holy Electricity.
With decades of experience, TBC remains a committed supporter of cultural projects that preserve national values, develop Georgian art, and promote cultural heritage. The bank is a long-standing partner of the Tbilisi, Batumi, and Kutaisi International Film Festivals, and last year, in cooperation with independent Georgian filmmakers, hosted the project “Cinema on the Road” in 10 cities across Georgia—bringing a series of open-air screenings to regional audiences.
At the heart of every achievement lies belief—belief in new opportunities, one’s own path, and creative power. Guided by this belief and the spirit of Georgian borjgalosnebi, TBC has been a loyal supporter of the Eliso Film Awards since its founding.
