The union of well-established civil society organizations, which includes Transparency International Georgia, GRASS, the Civil Society Foundation, and IDFI, have described the 2024 Georgian election process as ‘a complex scheme of election fraud’, and are calling for an annulment of the results.
WeVote, the alliance created to oversee the election, assigned 2,000 observers nationwide, noted that alleged fraud greatly impacted the final outcome.
The coalition has released a statement, expressing confusion and doubts over the validity of the preliminary results revealed by the CEC, implying they do not accurately reflect ‘the will of the citizens of Georgia.’
