Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 24 Deaths, Positivity Rate 5.76%

Coronavirus: Georgia Reports 24 Deaths, Positivity Rate 5.76%

Georgia reported 549 coronavirus cases, 1,439 recoveries, and 24 deaths on Monday, the official figures show.

9,535 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 5,665 antigen tests and 3,870 PCRs.

The testing revealed that Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 300 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 77 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 45 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 5.76%, while it was 6.03% in the past 14 days.

62,447 people have received the coronavirus vaccine in the country so far.

Currently, out of 925 critical patients, 197 require mechanical ventilation.

The total number of confirmed cases has reached 322,468, among them, 302,428 people recovered and 4,305 died. Presently, there are 15,735 active cases in Georgia.
