Charles Michel Shares Concerns over Imprisonment of Nika Gvaramia, Calls on Georgian Authorities to Engage in Inclusive and Comprehensive Reform of the Judiciary

President of European council Charles Michel expressed his concern about events taking place in georgia.

“Strongly concerned about developments in Georgia.

Right to peaceful protest is at the core of any democracy.

Adoption of this “foreign influence” law is not compatible with the EU path which majority in Georgia wants.

Commitment to rule of law and human values is key to EU project,” Tweeted Michel.
