The much-anticipated legends match between the Georgian national team and FC Barcelona took place at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi, ending in a 3:1 victory for the visiting Spanish side.
The Georgian legends opened the scoring in the 25th minute, when Giorgi Navalovski netted a goal following a precise assist from Aleksandre Iashvili. However, Barcelona Legends quickly responded — Argentine forward Javier Saviola equalized in the 34th minute.
In the second half, the Catalan legends took the lead. Soriano found the net in the 54th minute, putting Barcelona ahead 2:1. Georgian midfielder Levan Kenia was particularly dynamic throughout the game, creating significant trouble for the Spanish defense.
Barcelona widened the gap in the 72nd minute with Saviola scoring his second goal of the match, bringing the score to 3:1.
Ronaldinho, one of the main attractions of the evening, became more active in the final minutes. However, Georgian center-back Zurab Khizanishvili stood firm and defended reliably against the Brazilian star.
By prior agreement, the referee blew the final whistle in the 85th minute. Five minutes earlier, Ronaldinho left the pitch to a standing ovation from the crowd, marking a memorable farewell in Tbilisi.
