Archi Begins Long-Term Partnership with World-Renowned Architect Wei Yap Ooi

Archi Sets a New Standard in Modern Architecture – the leading development company is beginning a long-term collaboration with internationally acclaimed architect Wei Yap Ooi. The memorandum, officially signed on July 19 between Archi and Wei Yap Architecture, aims to have all of Archi’s premium projects realized through the vision of the renowned architect.

Wei Yap Ooi, an Australian registered architect, has been pursuing his passion across the globe for many years. His impressive portfolio includes major international projects such as the Jurong Lake District Masterplan in Singapore, AAMI Park Stadium in Melbourne, Australia, Scientia Terrace – Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College in Sydney, Australia, and the Kunming Mixed-Use Commercial Development in Kunming, China, among many others.

Initially, the collaboration between Archi and Wei Yap was planned for a single project. However, the creative process proved to be so natural and inspiring for both parties that it evolved into a long-term partnership.

“Together, we are imagining what this city could become — innovative, human-centered, and sustainable. We aim to fully unlock our shared potential to shape a better urban future. For me, Georgia’s nature, urban spaces, and architectural traditions are a deep source of inspiration. Here, I’ve found an opportunity to create architecture that unites Asian experience with European values.” – Wei Yap Ooi, Founder of Wei Yap Architecture.

Inspired by his collaboration with Archi and his experience in Georgia, Wei Yap has moved to the country with his family and relocated his architectural studio to Tbilisi. Beyond designing unique architectural projects, Wei also serves as Chair of the International Chapter Chair for the Australian Institute of Architects and brings a rare academic background from leading global universities — knowledge he is eager to share with local professionals at Archi.

“Working with Wei Yap is deeply inspiring for us. With this collaboration, we are raising the bar of architecture to a world-class level. It reflects our ongoing mission to create unparalleled developments that stand out both in design and construction quality. Wei Yap is the visionary behind the design of Archi’s new premium mixed-use complexes — King Tamar and Archi Horizon — as well as one of the most ambitious projects in the entire region, which will be revealed to the public very soon.” – Ilia Tsulaia, Founder of Archi

Archi’s core priority has always been to deliver construction projects of the highest quality — developments where residents can enjoy the best in comfortable, modern living. For nearly two decades, Archi has been introducing internationally recognized architectural standards to Georgia, defined by their excellence, form, and forward-thinking vision. Grounded in this philosophy, Archi entrusted one of its most exceptional projects to Wei Yap — a decision that resulted in a seamless fusion of Georgian history, culture, and spirit with the principles of contemporary architecture. This creative synergy has become the foundation of a long-term partnership between Archi and Wei Yap Architecture.
