A representative of the United States Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs has arrived in Georgia, the US Embassy in Georgia announced.
Embassy says Peter Andreoli is visiting the country as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement and cooperation efforts between the United States and Georgia.
During his visit, Andreoli is scheduled to hold meetings with representatives of the Georgian government, the private sector, and broader civil society. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral ties, economic cooperation, and regional issues.
As part of his itinerary, the US official will also travel to Poti, where he will tour an American investment project at the port, highlighting US involvement in Georgia’s strategic infrastructure and economic development.
In addition, Andreoli will visit the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL), a sensitive area that separates Georgian-controlled territory from the Russian-occupied regions, underscoring continued US attention to security and stability on the ground.
“We are pleased to welcome Peter Andreoli, a representative of the Department of State’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, to Georgia. He will meet with representatives of government, the private sector, and Georgian society. He will also travel to Poti to tour an American investment in the port and will visit the ABL,” the embassy said in its statement.
