GCCA closes case against Wolt Georgia after commitments agreement

The Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) has closed its investigation into Wolt Georgia after reaching a commitments agreement with the company, following complaints related to delayed order deliveries.

The proceedings were launched after consumers filed applications alleging that Wolt Georgia failed to deliver orders within agreed timeframes, potentially violating the Law of Georgia on the Protection of Consumer Rights. The Agency examined whether the company had breached its obligations as a trader by repeatedly delaying deliveries.

As part of the review, GCCA assessed a set of corrective commitments proposed by Wolt Georgia. The Agency concluded that, if properly implemented, these measures would effectively eliminate the risk of future violations. Based on this assessment, the regulator decided to terminate the proceedings without imposing sanctions.

Under the agreement, Wolt Georgia has committed to revising its internal operational practices and ensuring the restoration of consumer rights for customers who may have been negatively affected by the previously identified issues.
