Following the announcement of exit poll results by Imedi TV, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze addressed supporters at the Georgian Dream office, celebrating the party’s decisive election win.
“We promised everyone that we would win by a large margin, but I think we have overfulfilled even such a loud promise. This is very good,” Kobakhidze said.
He emphasized that the results reflect unity and tireless work across the party: “If it weren’t for our unity, such an impressive victory would not have been possible. It is precisely such a convincing victory that is needed for the country to develop irreversibly and stably.”
Kobakhidze congratulated all winning candidates, particularly Tbilisi mayoral candidate Kakha Kaladze, who secured a third term with a “very impressive victory.” He also thanked elected mayors, municipal council members, party headquarters staff, and local leaders for their contributions.
“Everything we have achieved today — peace, progress, and development — is thanks to Bidzina Ivanishvili. Today’s victory is also Ivanishvili’s victory,” the Prime Minister added.
Based on exit polls conducted by Gorbi for Imedi TV, the ruling Georgian Dream party secured 76.3% of the vote in Tbilisi City Assembly elections.
