The Ministry of Justice’s Public Service Development Agency has announced a temporary discount campaign for issuing electronic ID cards to certain categories of citizens until 5 September.
Under the initiative, eligible applicants will receive their electronic ID card at half price on the 10th working day after application while the required photo will be provided free of charge.
As the agency stated, the campaign aims to increase citizens’ access to electronic documents and improve the accuracy of voter lists before the upcoming elections.
Discounted electronic ID cards will be available to:
- Adult citizens who have never obtained an electronic ID card.
- Adults whose electronic ID card has expired or will expire before 5 October 2025 and who do not hold a valid biometric passport.
- Citizens turning 18 before 5 October 2025 who either do not have an electronic ID card or whose current card will expire before that date and who do not hold a valid biometric passport.
