Maqro Development Presents “Maqro City Tbilisi”

On June 14, MaqroDevelopment officially unveiled its latest and most expansive initiative, Maqro City Tbilisi – a forward-looking urban development poised to redefine the residential and commercial landscape of Georgia’s capital. The presentation, held in Tbilisi, marked the start of pre-sales and introduced a comprehensive vision for an integrated, modern urban environment designed to meet evolving standards of living.

The event attracted a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including government representatives, investors, leading figures in architecture and development, and prominent personalities from Georgia’s cultural sector. Guests experienced a meticulously organized evening that reflected the ambition of the project: from an impressive professional presentation to a curated entertainment program featuring visual, theatrical, and musical elements.

“Since the establishment of Maqro Development, the main mission of the company has been to create eco-friendly and multifunctional living spaces based on modern standards,” said Oguz Kaan Karaer, Director of Marketing and Sales. “Maqro Development has been creating unique urban concept residential complexes in Georgia for many years, such as Green Budapest and Green Diamond. Based on this experience, vision, and innovative approaches, we are developing and launching a unique, unprecedented project – Maqro City Tbilisi.”

Strategically located in one of the capital’s most dynamic and accessible districts, Maqro City Tbilisi benefits from proximity to major transport routes, including a nearby metro station and Tbilisi International Airport. Its surroundings include key state institutions and commercial hubs such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the East Point shopping center. The development is also within easy reach of Old Tbilisi, enhancing its appeal for both residents and investors.

“In just a few minutes, you can reach the metro, ensuring fast access to any part of the city,” Karaer emphasized. “The airport’s close location gives the project added value, while essential public and commercial institutions lie within walking or short driving distance.”

At the heart of the project is a modern, self-sufficient urban concept that reflects the lessons of recent years. Maqro City Tbilisi is designed as a “city within a city” – an environment where residents can live, work, study, and relax without leaving the premises.

“The experience of the pandemic has clearly shown us how important it is to have sports, recreational, commercial, and educational spaces in a residential environment,” Karaer noted. “Maqro City Tbilisi is tailored to these needs , it’s not just about housing, it’s about building integrated, functional communities.”

This broader vision is also reflected in the cultural philosophy of the project. According to Mariam Gogokhia, Head of Marketing, the project is conceived not merely as a development, but as a platform for community and identity.

“Maqro City Tbilisi is not just a residential complex,” said Gogokhia. “We build conceptual, urban complexes that primarily unite people – their stories, cultures, and characters. It is with this vision that the name Maqro City Tbilisi was born.”

The project’s visual identity further reinforces its cultural grounding. The logo features a pheasant, a bird with symbolic significance across cultures, and one that is deeply tied to the historical narrative of Tbilisi.

“The pheasant used in the Maqro City Tbilisi logo is not just a graphic element,” Gogokhia explained. “It’s a unity of values that reflects both the idea of the project and the character of the city – a multicultural bridge between East and West.”

The launch event seamlessly combined professionalism with artistry. Children enjoyed a dedicated entertainment zone filled with educational and creative activities. A standout moment came with the performance by the Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili”, whose dynamic choreography captivated the audience. The evening also featured the debut of an original composition by Duet Georgia, created especially for the project to encapsulate its essence through music. A live DJ set concluded the night, maintaining a lively and celebratory atmosphere.

Maqro City Tbilisi is designed not just as a residential complex, but as a comprehensive urban district. With its scale, location, and focus on livability, the project aims to reflect contemporary needs while contributing to the long-term development of the city’s built environment.
