Coronavirus: Georgia Records 2012 New Cases, 25 Deaths

2,012 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Georgia. As part of the intensive testing, 13,451 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 8,313 antigen tests and 5,138 PCR tests.

“Testing has revealed 2,012 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 224,155.

“In the last 24 hours, 2,638 people recovered from the virus, and the total number of recoveries increased to 208,951. Unfortunately, we have 25 new cases of coronavirus deaths in the last 24 hours. A total of 2,443 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

“Of 2,012 new cases of infection detected in the country today, 837 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara – 125, Imereti – 367, Kvemo Kartli – 132, Shida Kartli – 144, Guria – 31, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 155, Kakheti – 147, Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 34, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 28, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 12,” reports the government administration.
