Students, professors, and cultural figures hold protest march in Tbilisi

Students and professors gathered at Ilia State University and marched to Tbilisi State University building in Vake.

The participants of the protest do not recognize the results of the October 26 elections and demand the appointment of new elections. They have unfurled protest banners with various contents. The participants of the march will join those gathered at Republic Square, and finally the rally will continue all night near the Parliament building.

Protesters claim that under the government of the Georgian Dream, there is a threat to all fields, including to the education sector. As the participants of the protest say, today Georgia’s European future and European education are in danger.

Representatives of the cultural sector are also holding the protest march. Its
participants claim that the government must understand that Georgian citizens will not tolerate election fraud, the country’s deviation from the European path, and they will continue the fight to the end.
