The Tetritskaro District Court Judge Vladimer Khuchua defended his recent decision on election complaints, pointing out its fairness.
“I made a fair, legal decision, guided by my conscience and with the involvement of all parties, based on the evidence presented at the court session,” Khuchua recently told Interpressnews, also stressing that “the future of Georgia depends on strengthening the rule of law.”
On November 4, Judge Khuchua dismissed election results from 30 polling stations in Tsalka and Tetritskaro municipalities. At the court hearing, he conducted an experiment, illustrating that voter privacy was violated on election day at the mentioned stations. Nevertheless, on November 7, the Tbilisi Court of Appeal revoked his decision.
