Opposition parties demand re-elections in Georgia, held by Int’l Election Administration

“We have a very specific request – to hold elections anew, but to have them conducted by the International Election Administration, – Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of Unity-National Movement, said at the rally on Rustaveli Avenue.

He presented the plans to the public on behalf of his team and noted that they are not going to negotiate with anyone, except for on the issue of rescheduling the elections.

“I want to be specific about our decisions on behalf of our team. Both you and we recognize these elections as illegitimate, these elections are not legitimate!

“We are not going to enter this parliament, and if we don’t, we refuse all mandates and close the lists!

“We are going to fight until victory, and we promise you, we will definitely win together!

“We have a very specific request – to hold elections anew, but to have them conducted by the international election administration and not by this fake election administration. These are the requirements that must be met.

“We are not going to enter into any negotiations. We are not going to conduct any dialogues. The only negotiation and agreement should be on newly held elections, which will be conducted by an international administration and not by the election commissions managed by Georgian Dream and the State Security Service,” said Vashadze.
