The international festival “Night Serenades,” named after Liana Isakadze, continues with concerts in Tbilisi.
On September 15, the Italian conductor Beatrice Venezi, the National Symphony Orchestra, and pianist Sandro Nebieridze performed before an audience at the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory’s large hall. The concert featured one of the most notable pieces of Italian symphonic music, Ottorino Respighi’s “Pines of Rome.” Alongside Nebieridze, the renowned pianist with a successful international career, Venezi also performed Rachmaninoff’s Third Piano Concerto.
Beatrice Venezi is the chief conductor of the Orchestra Scarlatti Young, the chief conductor of “Milano Classica,” and the chief guest conductor of the Toscana Orchestra. She is also a guest conductor for the “Puccini Festival,” the artistic director of the Taormina Arte Foundation, and an advisor to the Italian Minister of Culture in the field of music. Venezi collaborates with widely recognized artists and institutions and has received numerous awards for her creative work and promotion of classical music. From 2019 to 2022, she was a member of the Women’s Consultative Group of the Pontifical Council for Culture. In 2017, Corriere della Sera named her one of the 50 women of the year, and in 2018, Forbes included her in their list of 100 young leaders of the future.
Sandro Nebieridze has been studying piano since the age of five and composition since the age of nine. Since 2021, he has been studying at the Munich Hochschule für Musik und Theater and is a laureate of numerous international piano and composition competitions. He collaborates with leading orchestras and regularly participates in international festivals as both a performer and composer.
