Two participants of the rally near the parliament building were arrested. As the law enforcement officer explained after arresting one of the participants, the mentioned action was followed by insulting remarks.
In addition, law enforcement officers arrested another person on April 9 street. Protesters were angered by the appearance of Zviad Kharazashvili, also known as “Khareba”, the head of the special task force and emergency tasks department.
The participants of the rally had gathered behind parliament and stood near the side entrances of the building.
Parliament, in the first reading, adopted the draft law “On transparency of foreign influence” with 83 votes. The voting of the draft law “On transparency of foreign influence” was preceded by a three-day noisy committee and session discussion.
