MEP Viola von Cramon responded to President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili’s speech at the European Parliament via Twitter, noting it is a breath of fresh air to finally hear a high-level Georgian official representing the European will of 90% of Georgians.
“What a breath of fresh air to finally hear a high-level Georgian official representing the European will of 90% of Georgians. Dear President Zurabishvili, we in the European Parliament strongly stand with you & your people for Georgia’s European future,” Tweeted Cramon.
In her speech, Zurabishvili talked about the 12-point recommendation of the European Union, saying that what is reflected in the recommendations is not strange to Georgia, but represents its cultural, value, and heritage choices – “Accordingly, what you are asking from us is that Georgia remains loyal to its identity.”
