“Of course, it is not pleasant for us, let’s be honest, to hear the statements we hear from the representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, but here I would like to point out that since the country, its government, and people are at war, we do not want to make unnecessary statements on this issue,” said the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, at the Ambassadors Conference 2022.
He stressed out, their main goal is to protect Georgia’s interests.
“Naturally, we respect the sovereignty of all countries, we respect all countries, but we love our country the most. Accordingly, our main obligation is to protect the interests of our country first. Naturally, the role of you, the ambassadors, in this great work is special, so that we can correctly convey our message to the capitals, correctly represent the interests of our country, and correctly and effectively deal with the disinformation campaign, which unfortunately flows not only from our country but also from others,” said the Prime Minister.
He noted that they understand well that this is an orchestrated attack on the country’s national interests, adding, therefore, this attack, disinformation, needs effective counteractions.
