External Merchandise Trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $8,467.6 million in January-June 2022, 35.2% higher year-on-year, shows preliminary data provided by the National Statistics Service of Georgia.
The value of export increased by 35.1%, reaching $2,548.7 million, while import value increased by 35.3% and amounted to $5,918.9 million.
The trade deficit equaled $3,370.2 million and its share in trade turnover constituted 39.8%.
