The Ministry of Health reports that antiarrhythmic, spasmolytic, blood pressure-lowering, antiallergic, anti anaphylactic, diuretic, antidiabetic, antihyperglycemic drugs, as well as agents for blocking bronchial asthma and stenocardia attack, can be dispensed without prescription in case of a need for emergency assistance.
Captopril, dexamethasone, epinephrine, furosemide, glucose, insulin, salbutamol, nifedipine, amiokordin, atropine, diphenhydramine, glibenclamide, metformin, metoprolol, prednisolone, nitroglycerin, naloxone, and some other medicines can also be obtained without prescription in case of emergency.
This exception concerns medicines of Group II, which from March 1 comes via prescriptions which are no longer issued in hard copy (on paper), but only electronically.
Medicines of Group III characterized with less severe side effects can be issued without prescription. Medicines of such type include pain relievers, antipyretic, drugs used for cold, gastrointestinal medications, etc.
