Former mayor of Tianeti and former MP Tamaz Mechiauri passed away.
Mechiauri was suffering from severe respiratory failure. He passed away this morning.
Tamaz Mechiauri was transferred to the First University Clinic clinic about 2 weeks ago with further coronavirus complications.
Mechiauri was a member of parliament of 3 convocations. He won the 2017 Tianeti mayoral election as an independent candidate.
