On Thursday, the Committee on Procedural Issues supported the early termination of 49 opposition MPs’ powers, following the consideration of the applications of Shalva Natelashvili, the labor party leader, and Levan Khabeishvil, a UNM member, the day before.
The following are the MPs considered for the termination of their mandate: – Teona Akubardia, Armaz Akhvlediani, Davit Bakradze, Levan Bezhashvili, Tinatin Bokuchava, Giorgi Botkoveli, Giorgi Godabrelidze, Roman Gotsiridze, Khatia Dekanoidze, Levan Varshalomidze, Giorgi Vashadze, Grigol Vashadze, Abdulla Ismailov, Manuchar Kvirkvelia, Vakhtang Kikabidze, Davit Kirkitadze, Tamar Kordzaia, Nona Mamulashvili, Paata Manjgaladze, Nika Machutadze, Nika Melia, Akaki Minashvili, Tariel Nakaidze, Koba Nakopia, Ana Natsvlishvili, Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Kakha Okriashvili, Salome Samadashvili, Khatuna Samnidze, Gubaz Sanikidze, Sulkhan Sibashvili, Zaal Udumashvili, Davit Usupashvili, Bachuki Kardava, Shalva Shavgulidze, Tamar Charkviani, Tsezar Chocheli, Nato Chkheidze, Rostom Chkheidze, Ana Tsitlidze, Devi Chankotadze, Dilar Khabuloani, Mamuka Khazaradze, Davit Khajishvili, Ekaterine Kherkheulidze, Elene Khoshtaria, Temur Janashia, Badri Japaridze, and Zurab Girchi Japaridze.
“The committee carried out the relevant procedures and established the authenticity of the applications,” according to Chairman of the Committee Irakli Kadagishvili.
The mandate termination process is far from over, however. The final decision will be made by the Parliament at the first sitting of the spring session.
