In order to stimulate vaccination, the Ministry of Health of Georgia is organizing a lottery for vaccinated persons – ‘Get Vaccinated and Win.’
Vaccinated beneficiaries of the StopCovid Lottery will receive lottery tickets from the state for free during vaccination.
Vaccinated users will be identified based on the identification code provided in the NCDC database when registering the first vaccination.
Users who have been vaccinated against coronavirus before the incentive lottery is launched (September 13) will be able to participate in all ‘Get Vaccinated and Win’ raffles. A ticket received during the StopCovid Lottery Vaccination is valid for all raffles until the ticket wins. For instance, if a citizen’s ticket wins in the daily raffle once, their ticket will no longer participate in the next daily raffle, but will still participate in the weekly and summary raffles; if the ticket wins in the weekly raffle, it will then participate in the summary raffle.
The sooner a person gets vaccinated, the more lottery tickets he/she will get, accordingly, they’ll have greater chances of winning.
All one-time vaccinated citizens can take part in the lottery, both those vaccinated before September 1, 2021, and after September 13, 2021, said the head of the Legal Department of the Georgian National Lottery Ketevan Khutsishvili.
She noted that winners will be revealed both daily and weekly, and a final raffle will be held at the end of the year.
“The lottery will be held daily, weekly and there will also be a final raffle. The minimum prize will be 100 GEL and the maximum will be 100 000 GEL. About 160 prizes will be raffled daily. We will also have the winners of the weekly raffle and the final raffle will be held live on the Public Broadcaster, where one winner will be revealed. The lottery takes place in the following way, when the customer is given a booking code for vaccination by the NCDC, they will automatically participate in the mentioned lottery. A user registered today who is vaccinated will take part in the next day’s raffle. The results of the raffle will be revealed at 12 noon, and regarding the weekly raffle, its winners will be announced every Monday, as soon as the end of each raffle,” said Ketevan Khutsishvili.
She added that citizens will receive information about the prizes won through a specially created website. They will also be contacted by the Ministry of Health.
“Winners can get information on stopcov.lotto.ge. Information about the winners will be posted, the names of the winners and the first initials of the last name, what vaccine the user was vaccinated with and in which city, also the booking code will be indicated. The Ministry of Health will definitely contact the winners and inform them about it.
“There are two ways for a customer to find out whether they have won or not. The first one is that a customer should visit the website – stopcov.lotto.ge and see their booking code data, while there is another way, the Ministry of Health itself will contact and provide information. To participate in the lottery, the user does not need any authorization, but as soon as he/she is vaccinated, a booking code is automatically included in the raffle. The raffle is held on the website www.stopcov.lotto.ge in automatic mode, the results are revealed by the program,” said Khutsishvili.
She added that in the case of vaccinated young people, parents or legal representatives will participate in the lottery on behalf of them.
“The reservation code and lottery tickets will be handed over to their legal representatives,” said Ketevan Khutsishvili.
A lottery will be launched on Monday, September 13, to encourage vaccinated individuals, Giorgi Gibradze, Chief of the Operational Staff at the Interagency Coordination Council, announced yesterday.
