Success is often said to depend on being “in the right place at the right time.” With TBC, however, access to the right opportunities no longer depends on geography. Any part of Georgia can become the right place to gain knowledge and develop new skills.
This vision underpins TBC’s free online education ecosystem which gives school students, university students and young professionals across the country equal access to learning opportunities in high-demand, modern fields.
Education is one of TBC’s strategic priorities. Through TBC Tech School, TBC Campus and TBC IT Academy, the bank is helping remove both geographical and financial barriers, making quality education more accessible to people across Georgia.
Online learning is no longer simply a flexible alternative to traditional education — it is creating tangible opportunities for personal and professional growth. Participants attend interactive online lectures and maintain regular communication with lecturers, mentors and leading industry professionals. They can study from home without having to step away from work, family or their daily routines, while also connecting with like-minded people from different regions of Georgia and collaborating on real-world projects regardless of geographical distance.
At the same time, the online format helps participants develop independent learning, time management and digital collaboration skills — all essential for building a successful career in today’s rapidly changing professional environment.
For the past three years, TBC Tech School has been introducing students in grades 9–12 to some of the most in-demand technology professions, completely free of charge. More than 4,500 high school students have participated in the program, with 35% coming from the regions. Today, Tech School alumni are also sharing their knowledge with others through the Tech School Ambassadors program.
Since its launch in 2019, TBC IT Academy has retrained more than 5,000 people, 48% of whom are women. Nearly 500 graduates have gone on to join the technology teams of TBC and its partner companies.
Another free online initiative is TBC Campus, which offers people aged 18–24 the opportunity to develop skills in marketing, product management, business analysis and project management. Regional participants account for 57% of the program’s community. To date, nearly 1,000 people have participated in TBC Campus, while the latest cohort was successfully completed by 112 students.
For TBC, education is one of the key foundations of Georgia’s long-term development. That is why the bank is committed to creating opportunities for quality, modern education regardless of where people live, their financial circumstances or their age.
TBC views access to technological and professional knowledge as an important prerequisite for empowering the next generation, strengthening the economy and enhancing Georgia’s competitiveness.
