There are currently no grounds for optimism regarding a peaceful settlement of the war in Ukraine due to Kyiv’s position, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.
“The dynamics on the front line are well known. The special military operation continues,” Peskov said, using Moscow’s official term for its invasion of Ukraine.
He added that Russia “sincerely appreciates the efforts of all countries seeking to help resolve the conflict in Ukraine.”
“There are few such countries, but their efforts are important and valuable,” Peskov said.
