Russian President Vladimir Putin has lost the initiative in the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with Fox News.
Zelensky claimed that Ukraine has fundamentally changed the dynamics on the battlefield by rapidly developing its military technology sector since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
“When the war began and Putin said he would occupy us in two or three days, we built a huge military technology industry. We now have 500 companies with very strong technologies,” Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president said the war has become a competition of innovation, requiring constant adaptation as drone technology quickly becomes outdated.
“We understand that the war changes every three to six months. We have to change our technologies. We have to move faster than Putin because he has more people. To save our people, we must use more technology. Putin is losing 30,000 soldiers every month. The losses are enormous, but he does not want to end this war. That is why the initiative is no longer in Putin’s hands,”
Zelensky said.
