The concerts of Russian singer Ani Lorak and Russian pop duo t.A.t.u. in Batumi have been canceled, Russia’s state news agency TASS reports.
The administration of the Batumi Tennis Courts, where the concerts were scheduled to take place, confirmed the cancellation to TASS.
T.A.t.u. was due to perform on August 1, while Ani Lorak’s concert was scheduled for August 14.
Ticket sales on the Biletebi.ge platform have been suspended.
Batumelebi reported in June that one of the organizers of the concerts at the Batumi Tennis Courts was ‘Batumi Live,’ which was listed on Biletebi.ge as the event organizer.
Ani Lorak, a Ukrainian-born singer, has been based in Russia since 2014. Ukraine imposed sanctions on her in October 2022 and revoked her honorary title of People’s Artist of Ukraine.
T.A.t.u. has not publicly condemned Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and has continued to perform since the war began.
