TBC continues to invest in the next generation of tech talent. In partnership with the Business and Technology University (BTU), the company is supporting Georgia’s national team, prepared through the Tech Olympiads Hub, as it competes at the 10th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI 2026).
One of Europe’s most prestigious international programming competitions for students under the age of 16, EJOI brings together the continent’s most talented young programmers. This year’s Olympiad will take place in Kaunas, Lithuania, from July 24 to 30, with participants representing 24 countries, including Georgia.
Georgia will be represented by four outstanding young programmers:
- Giorgi Tsibadze – 10th-grade student at Andria Razmadze Kutaisi Public Physics and Mathematics School No. 41; AiaSoft Programming School, Kutaisi.
- Dimitri Shengelia – 10th-grade student at the First Experimental Public School; Mziuri Information Technology Center.
- Natalia Papashvili – 9th-grade student at Vladimir Komarov Tbilisi Public Physics and Mathematics School No. 199; Mziuri Information Technology Center.
- Richard Barbakadze – 9th-grade student at Vladimir Komarov Tbilisi Public Physics and Mathematics School No. 199; Mziuri Information Technology Center.
The team secured its place at the Olympiad through a highly competitive selection process and qualifying rounds organized by the Tech Olympiads Hub. Throughout their preparation, the students have been mentored by team leader Giorgi Mandaria and deputy team leader Bakar Gamezardashvili.
Ahead of the competition, the team completed an intensive training program focused on advanced algorithmic problem-solving and competitive programming, equipping them with the skills needed to perform at the highest international level.
Through the Tech Olympiads Hub, TBC and the Business and Technology University are working together to strengthen STEM education in Georgia, identify talented young people, and prepare them for international competitions. The initiative aims to discover motivated students from across the country, deepen their knowledge, and provide them with high-quality training for international Olympiads.
Supporting education and strengthening Georgia’s technology ecosystem remain strategic priorities for TBC. By backing initiatives such as the Tech Olympiads Hub, TBC continues to create opportunities for young people to showcase their talent internationally and build successful careers in technology.
