A farewell ceremony for Iran’s former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is underway at Tehran’s Mosalla prayer hall, as reported by Iran International.
The outlet reports that the bodies of several of Khamenei’s deceased family members have also been brought to the prayer hall alongside his.
Foreign delegations are attending the ceremony, including representatives from India, Pakistan, and China.
The funeral ceremonies are scheduled to continue until July 9. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will be buried on July 9 in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad.
