With TBC’s support, the construction firm “Arcturi” is progressing on its project, “Arcturi Lisi,”
Located at 111 Fermtserta Street in Tbilisi. This low-rise complex comprises seven residential buildings, each spanning five floors, under gradual construction. The total area of the complex is 14,330.5 sq.m. A dedicated green space is planned, featuring recreational areas, children’s playgrounds, a sports ground, and walking paths.
The complex will also encompass both open and closed paid parking lots, along with commercial and retail spaces. Ensuring residents’ safety, the premises will be equipped with video cameras and barriers. Constructed from energy-efficient materials adhering to the latest standards and regulations, the residential complex aims to help residents reduce utility costs.
Prospective buyers have the option to purchase apartments starting from 43 sq.m., delivered in a green frame condition. The completion of the first two residential blocks is scheduled for 2025.
„Arcturi” has been a key player in the construction market since 2013, providing real estate options in Tbilisi and hotel-style residential houses in the Bakuriani mountain-ski resort.

Technovation Girls SAKARTVELO 2024, supported by the TBC Education Program and organized by Alte University, has begun.
Over 900 girls aged 13 to 18 and 250 mentors from across Georgia have registered for the international Technovation Girls competition, entering for the second time. Participants will spend four months learning programming, creating technological products, and developing innovative solutions. In June, an international jury will evaluate Georgia’s winning teams, with the final results announced at the World Summit in October. TBC, a technology company, aims to boost the tech ecosystem, empower girls, and raise awareness of tech issues among the younger generation through its support for Technovation Girls SAKARTVELO.

The TBC Project Business Awards have unveiled their finalists for the “Outstanding Social Responsibility” category, showcasing businesses making significant contributions to their communities. Among the distinguished finalists are “Petit Bazar,” “Babale,” and “Tene.”
Petit Bazar: Nurturing Creativity, Supporting Local Entrepreneurs
Founded in June 2022, “Petit Bazar” has swiftly become a unique haven for children and parents alike. Merging a children’s store with a creative-cognitive space, the company emphasizes local, eco-friendly production and inclusivity. Hosting creative and cognitive circles, the store fosters children’s imagination and imparts various skills, all conducted by local entrepreneurs. With a commitment to being “More than a store,” Petit Bazar collaborates with over 150 local entrepreneurs, empowering 80% women and creating additional income streams.
Katie Meskhi, the founder, states, “Our motto is ‘More than a store,’ and we aim to be a socially responsible entity, championing environmental initiatives, promoting local production, and empowering women.”
Babale: A Social Enterprise for Special Needs
“Babale,” a social enterprise established nine years ago by parents of children with special needs, is dedicated to fostering social responsibility. The company focuses on promoting the employment and independent living of young individuals with Down’s syndrome. Lia Tabatadze, the founder, emphasizes their comprehensive program starting at age 12, aiding in skill development and professional orientation. Currently employing four individuals with Down’s syndrome and training 16 teenagers, Babale is making a tangible impact on the community.
Lia Tabatadze shares, “Our goal is not limited to employing within Babale; we guide them in making choices and developing skills.”
Tene: Innovating for Environmental Sustainability
“Tene,” the third finalist, distinguishes itself through its commitment to social responsibility, specifically environmental sustainability. Rejecting the use of virgin plastic, Tene utilizes recycled bottle caps in production. Initiatives such as bottle cap collection campaigns and USB cable exchange programs highlight their dedication to waste reduction and recycling.
Sandro Liluashvili, the founder of Tene, remarks, “Participation in the TBC Business Awards is crucial for overcoming stigma and raising awareness. Despite our unique products, some consumers perceive Georgian-made items as inferior. We hope this platform will help change these perceptions.”
To further reduce environmental impact, Tene transitioned its production to fully renewable energy, utilizing solar panels. The enterprise has also relocated to Tserovani IDP settlement, prioritizing employment for those displaced by the 2008 war.

TBC secured 10 million GEL from EBRD for supporting small and medium-sized businesses in Georgia
The funds aim to enhance access to factoring products for sectors like consumer goods, transport, and construction materials. TBC, a leader with a 68% market share in factoring, emphasizes its role in developing opportunities for partner companies. The bank’s deputy director, Giorgi Thalibdze, notes the significance of EBRD’s trust. Since joining the Trade Financing Program in 1999, TBC has facilitated over 1,000 trade transactions totaling more than 850 million euros. The program fosters international trade for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. EBRD has invested over 5 billion euros in Georgia across 289 projects, prioritizing financial and private sectors, sustainable development, and the service sector.
TBC Academy is now enrolling students for risk management studies.
The program, fully funded by TBC, offers both practical and theoretical training, leading to a special certificate upon successful completion. Registration is open until February 21.
Established as part of TBC’s corporate social responsibility, the Risk Academy aims to enhance the qualifications of young individuals in banking risks, identify exceptional talent, and promote education. The four-month course, guided by professional mentors from TBC and guest lecturers, focuses on developing analytical and technical skills.
