4 TV Companies Stop Broadcasting for 24 Hours in Support of Lekso

Four TV companies, ‘TV Pirveli;’ ‘Formula;’ ‘Mtavari TV;’ and ‘Caucasus’ have stopped broadcasting for 24 hours in protest regarding the death of TV Pirveli cameraman Lekso Lashkarava.

“Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili should resign! All offenders should be punished!” – these are the main demands of the TV companies.

Currently, the screens of all four mentioned TV stations show only a black background with the names of the journalists and cameramen who were injured during the July 5 events.

Lekso Lashkarava, the cameraman of TV Pirveli, who was brutally beaten by violent homophobic groups when performing his professional duties, passed away on July 11.
