The education process has been suspended in 25 kindergartens, around 15% of the total number of kindergartens in Tbilisi. Eight of those currently closed did not reopen on March 1 after the resumption of the educational process, and 17 closed due to subsequent confirmed cases, the Tbilisi Kindergarten Management Agency reports.
The statement of the agency as follows:
“According to the regulations for preventing the spread of coronavirus, as soon as a fact of infection is detected, the kindergarten administration contacts the parents of the children and informs them about the termination of the education process. At the same time, the kindergarten building is disinfected, and after the relevant isolation period, the institution will resume its work.”
