Former Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, has established a regional office in Batumi for the Party “For Georgia.”
The Batumi organization will be headed by Irakli Tavdgiridze, and Adjara will be headed by a former member of Batumi City Council, Irakli Mikeladze.
“I am sure that the further success of our country will be determined by the success of Tbilisi, Batumi, and other cities, so we have taken this step with careful thought. The first meeting of the members of the Political Council was held today.
“We have discussed the principal areas that we have already outlined in our program, which includes the socio-economic development of the country, human rights, and the further development of democracy, the main aspect being security, the main goal of which is the de-occupation and de-borderization of the country.
“We have platforms in all directions, in the creation of which various experts are participating. This is an important day. Consider that we have taken the first step towards establishing regional party organizations,” Gakharia stated.
Gakharia noted that ‘For Georgia’ will be the first political force and party whose internal democratic processes and democratization procedures will be of the highest quality.
