During a combined attack on Ukraine that lasted nearly ten hours, Russia launched 18 missiles and nearly 400 drones, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelensky stated that the main targets were Kyiv and its surrounding region, with additional strikes reported in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, and Kharkiv oblasts.
“This means we need to accelerate. We must act faster with sanctions and pressure on Russia so they feel the consequences of their terror. Our partners need to speed up investments in weapons production and technological development. Such attacks must receive a strong response. And that’s exactly how we’ll respond,” Zelensky said.
Ukraine’s Air Force Command says during the night of July 10, Russia used 415 aerial weapons in the assault. Ukrainian forces shot down 178, while 204 were lost or jammed using electronic warfare systems.
